True To The Name-A Pantoum

Oh that I would ever be
True to the Name that rescued me
Faithful, steady burning flame
Loving, living, for your name.

True to the Name that rescued me
I once was blind, yet now I see.
Loving, living for your Name,
Never again to be the same.

I once was blind, yet now I see,
Forever the burning one to be.
Never again to be the same
A ceaseless praise unto your Name.

Forever the burning one to be
By your hand sharpen me
A ceaseless praise unto your Name
Singing of your glorious fame.

By your hand sharpen me
Faithful steady burning flame
Singing of your glorious fame
Oh that I would ever be.

This is an example of a pantoum, a style of poetry I love.  Here is the formula.  It is a great way to beat writers block, give yourself a theme rhyme or not and go with it.   For more information on the pantoum click here.

       2  5  4  6          - Lines in second quatrain.
